§ SC17-4. Special police officers.

The Mayor or, in his absence or disability, the President of the Council may appoint special police officers, with all the powers of regular police officers, for a term not exceeding thirty (30) days in cases of emergency. The appointing authority shall determine the compensation of the special police officers.
