§ 15.24.130. Inspection of work.

A.

All buildings or structures within the scope of this code and all construction or work for which a permit is required shall be subject to inspection by the housing official in accordance with and in the manner provided by this code and the reference codes as described in Section 15.24.040 of this chapter.

B.

The first inspection of a structure shall be without payment of a fee. The second and any subsequent inspections shall require the payment of a fee by the owner of the property pursuant to a fee schedule adopted by the council from time to time. No reinspection fee shall be assessed for the initial reinspection if all the repairs are complete.

C.

If the full amount of fees due to the city is not paid by the owner within thirty (30) days after billing, then the housing official shall cause to be recorded in the finance department the amount of fees due and owing, and such amount will be carried on the records of the city of Salisbury and shall be collectible in the same manner as real estate taxes are collected.
